WHEN can I go with Expedition237
So how does Expedition237 work? Well, it all starts with your willingness to go and your church's desire to send you. You may not have all the pieces of the puzzle figured out yet. We just knew we wanted to get going. That's okay. We'll walk with you and help you put them together. Click here for helpful tools designed to assess where you are at and how to get to where you want to go!
Your expedition starts now. Here are the step...
1. Application:
Click here to download the application called: Expedition237 Missionary or Teacher Application. Complete it and return in to, Mark Szymanski, at mski@earthlink.net. He is always available, kind of like "Tech Support."
2. Orientation:
After we process your application, we will invite you to an Expedition237 Connection. These are held at various times during the year. Expedition237 Connections cover such topics as: defining your support and ministry costs, how to raise needed support, salary and benefits, and you will meet our leadership and Expedtion237 staff as well as gain a fuller understanding of who, how, and why we exist.
3. Training:
Training starts as soon after orientation as you would like (based upon level of support). Most of us prefer to raise the cost of training before we start, rather than pay for it out of own pockets. The training takes place in western North Carolina in Union Mills at the Center for Intercultural Training (CIT). CIT is great at what they do. You'll find others there getting trained and going to all parts of the world. It's cool to see all kinds of people following God. It made us feel like we won't be alone and are part of something big!
4. Transition:
Once you get your money together and your training is completed, you're sent to join the team on location. Here is where your day dreams take off!
