WHY should I consider Expedition237
Your Personal Expedition:
Responding to a dream God has given you is a privilege. Though each of us is given something to do for Him not all are asked to go into full-time service or move to another country. But once a person discovers their next step, moving on requires a deliberate course of action. The following steps should help you as you work your way to the nations.
1. Who Me, God? Determine and acknowledge your cross-cultural dream. From the beginning God's dream has been to recover worshipers from every ethnic group on the earth. His instruments are you and I. God even asks those who have served Him faithfully in their existing culture to reach beyond their ability and rely on Him to make disciples of another cross-cultural ethnic group.
Why do we Americans think we are the only cross-cultural workers? Those of other cultures have the same dreams as we do and we should help them go also. But if God prompted your heart to do more, to go further and reach beyond your own people, and to go to those who live in a world less reached, then you should go.
What has God gifted you to do or given you a passion for? What desires has He given you? How has He used you in the past? Have you had a successful church ministry experience? What skills and market abilities have you developed? All of these are ways to perform self-examination and understand how God has equipped you for the work of the ministry.
